Betty Busby Custred, age 88 of Parrish, passed away peacefully at her home on August 20, 2026.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Odom Memorial Baptist Church, Gray Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Betty's memory to the Parrish First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 49, Parrish, AL  35580.

Betty's love, kindness and unwavering devotion to her family touched the lives of everyone that knew her.  She will be deeply missed, but the love she gave will live on in her family and in the many cherished memories she leaves.

Mrs. Custred was preceded in death by her Beloved husband-James R. Custred; Mother-Ethel Sadberry Busby; Father-John Samp Busby; Sisters-Evelyn Sides and Infant Vera Nell Busby; Brothers-J.D., Lloyd, Herman and Ralph; Father-in-law-Bill Custred; Mother-in-law-Dorothy Jent Custred; Brothers-in-law-Jackie, Manville and Billy.

She is survived by her Daughter-Melissa Williams (Phillip); Sons-Greg Custred (Debbie) and Jon Custred (Tracy); Granddaughters-Autumn Williams (Justin) and Madeline East (Robert); Great Granddaughter-Audrey Gail; Host of nieces and nephews.
