Brother Charles Underwood, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather was a devoted servant of the Lord for more than six decades. He entered his eternal rest on November 24, 2025, after a life marked by unwavering dedication to his calling.

Before beginning his pastoral ministry, Brother Charles served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the closing days of the Korean War. While living in Arlington, Virginia, he experienced the transformative grace of salvation and was baptized—a moment that forever changed the course of his life.

Answering God's call in 1962, Brother Charles spent the next 63 years preaching the Gospel and shepherding God's people. He pastored 14 churches across three states, participated in more than 150 revivals, and carried out missionary work in India. His life was a living testimony to faith, perseverance, and the power of God's calling.

Brother Charles leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to Christ that will continue to inspire many for years to come. He is preceded in death by his father, James Underwood; mother, Rose Underwood; brother, J.W. Underwood; sisters, Rosalyn Black, Mary Elizabeth Richards and daughter-in-law, Rebecca Underwood (Barry).

He is survived by his daughter, Denise Larkin (Paul); sons, Barry Underwood and Tim Underwood (Bonnie); five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Though Brother Charles' voice is now silent, the echoes of his sermons and the lives he touched will continue to speak for generations.
