Doris Gail Rushing, age 88 of Jasper, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Ridgeview Health Services surrounded by family.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, services will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel.

Ms. Rushing was preceded in death by her Parents-Rufus and Pairlee Elizabeth Atkins; Sisters-DeVerla Buchanan, Agnes Kitchens, Mary Etta Best and Ruthie Dee Harbin; Brothers-Louis Atkins, Millard Atkins, Arlan Atkins, Homer Atkins and Grady Atkins.

She is survived by her Children-Shanda Brown of Gulf Shores, Carol Bishop of Jasper and Daryl Rushing (Connie) of Tuscaloosa; Brother-Jerry Don Atkins (Betty) of Jasper; Grandchildren-Brandi Howton (Kevin) of Sumiton, Heather Earp (Blake) of Jasper, Jared Bishop (Erica) of Jasper, Destiny Brown of Gulf Shores and Coal Brown of Opelika; 9 Great Grandchildren.
