Georgeanna Guthrie, age 77 of Jasper, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026 at UAB Medical Center.

Ms. Guthrie was a former high school English teacher at Dora High School.

Graveside services will be Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery.  Rick Sherer will officiate.

Ms. Guthrie was preceded in death by her Mother-Nell Ruth Guthrie; Father-George Guthrie; Brother-Jerry Guthrie.

She is survived by Numerous cousins, including Amber Purcer whom she was very close to.
