Georgia "Georgie" Jean Burton Robbins, 78, of Oakman, Alabama, passed away on August 12, 2026, surrounded by her family's loving embrace and outpouring of love.

She was the epitome of a classic Southern woman and homemaker. Gracious and warm, yet a force to be reckoned with when it counted. Her strength, her hospitality, and her devotion to her family left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.

Georgie found deep joy in her faith and was a devoted member of Parrish Church of Christ. She loved nothing more than cooking for her family, filling her home with the warmth of a good meal and open arms. A gifted painter and accomplished quilter, she poured her creativity into works that will be treasured by her family for generations to come. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert J. and Bertharene Wright Burton; her brothers-in-law, Avery Yarbrough and Robert Taylor; her sister-in-law, Frances Brand; her son-in-law, Howard Horn; her brother, Robert C. Burton; and her father- and mother-in-law, Claude and Clezell Robbins.

She is survived by the love of her life of nearly 60 years, Claud Hendrix Robbins; her daughters, Pamela Horn, Kimberly (Jerry) Fuller, Phoebe (Terry) Walton, and Lisa Harsey; her son, Charles (Christine) Robbins; her sisters, Wanda Yarbrough and JoAnn (Ray) Jordan; her sister-in-law, Myra Taylor; and her special cousin, Vera Burke. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Parrish Church of Christ. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM. A private burial will be held at Earnest Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery.
