James Larry Hall, 69, of Carbon Hill, AL, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, on August 22, 2026.

He was a retired coal miner from Oak Grove Mine and an avid fisherman. He shared his love of fishing with his two grandsons, Cole and Lane. Spending time with his wife of 50 years, Cindy, and their family was his greatest joy.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper, AL. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tobey Eads will officiate.  Burial will follow at Kelley Cemetery in Eldridge, AL.

Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his mother, Faye Nell Hall, and his father, James Edward Hall.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cindy Farris Hall; one son, Ryan Hall of Carbon Hill, AL; one daughter, Stacy (Mike) Courington of Jasper, AL; two grandsons, Cole and Lane Courington; and one sister, Sandra Williams.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Hall, Cole Courington, Lane Courington, Mike Courington, Kevin Cosby, Kris Williams, and Denver Snow.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeff Williams, Tommy Johnson, Marcus Amerson, and Gilbert Behel.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Southeast Hospice, and especially Ashley Sims and Kayla Myers.  Also, a special thank you to Bre Dockins Lily.
