James "Jimmy" Robert Lane, age 80 of Cordova, went home to be with his Savior.  His race is over, he fought a good fight and now walks the streets of gold.  As his pastor and family prayed by his bedside the angels of heaven came in the room, took him by the hand and led him home.  He is now in peace with his Lord.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel.  Burial will be at Gray Cemetery.  David Esco and Ricky Adams will officiate.

Mr. Lane was preceded in death by his Father-George Marlin Lane; Mother-Hazel Lane; Brother-George Marlin "Butch" Lane, Jr.

He is survived by his Wife-Patricia Lane; Son-Timothy Smith (Kelly); Sister-Linda Boyd; Brothers-George Lane (Carolyn), Keith Lane (Sydney), Arthur Charlie "A.C" Lane (Melissa) and William "Knobby" Allred (Sonya); Grandchildren-Caitlyn Gray (Geoffrey) and Kam Smith; Great Grandchildren-Josie and Barrett Gray; Host of Nieces and Nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tim Smith, Kam Smith, Geoffrey Gray, A.C. Lane, George Lane and Chris Lane.
