Janie Sue Smith

Janie Sue Carey Franklin Smith of Oakman, AL passed on October 15, 2026, she was born October 11, 1936.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. A graveside service will be Sunday, October 18, 2026, 3:00 p.m. at Pleasantfield Baptist Church Cemetery. James Johnson will officiate.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her Husband of 35 years-Roy E. Franklin and Husband of 33 years-Roy Smith; Parents-Alma and Allen Carey; Brothers-Robert, A.C., Melvin, Lloyd and Ray Carey; Sisters-Alta Mae Bolton, Ada Lee Peters,  Maizie Murphree and  Atha Lee Bolton.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her Daughter-Patricia McLain (Paul) of Cullman; Son-Donald, Franklin (Tawana) of Oakman;  3 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.
