Michael Louis Garrison, age 74 of Parrish, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at his residence.

Mr. Garrison was a gospel preacher for the Churches of Christ for 54 years.  He preached in gospel meetings for 18 states, including Hawaii, as well as Australia and Canada.  At present he was the preacher for Sayre Church of Christ.  He graduated from Auburn University in ornamental horticulture.  He taught school in Clanton for five years, then decided to preach full time.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel.  James Smith and Michael Matlock will officiate.  The family will have a private burial.

Mr. Garrison is survived by his Wife-Brenda Jones Garrison; Daughters-Faith Garrison and Amber Beaver; Son-Jeffrey Garrison; Sisters-Anita Phillips and Linda Garrison; Brothers-Larry Garrison, Randy Garrison and Ray Garrison; 10 Grandchildren.
