Obituary

Phylliss Ann Ware Cordell, passed away on August 6, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Phylliss was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in December of 2021.  During the last 2 and 1/2 years she never questioned the circumstances and faced this diagnosis head on with strength and peace that is unimaginable.

Phylliss was a dedicated mother first and foremost.  She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them.  She especially loved her role as Memaw and had a special bond with each of her grand babies.  There was no place her grand babies had rather be with than at Memaw's house.

She is survived by her Husband-Barry Cordell; 2 Sons and their family-Jace Cordell, his wife Megan and her grandsons Ori and Asa, Jed Cordell, his wife Chrissy and her grandson Riven, along with her unborn grandson who is due on her birthday Jan 15, 2025.  Mother and Father-Phillip and Ruby Nell Ware; Mother-in-law and Father-in-law-Bodie and Barbara Cordell; Brother and Sister-in-law-Jacky Wayne and Lisa Ware;  Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law-Bobby and Lisa Cordell;  Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law-Tessa and Kerry Rowe;  And a host of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins who loved her dearly. She was always the favorite aunt because of her fun loving spirit, and all the cutting up she done, so they all loved being with her as children and as adults.

She was preceded in death by her Sister-in-law-Tricia Cordell Cagle; Grandparents-Rachel and Wayne Ware, Jackson and Janie Stacks; Grandfather-Willie Tucker.
