Rosie Helen Wilder, age 88 of Taylorville, IL. was reunited with the love of her life on April 15th, 2025, while being surrounded by loved ones.  Helen was born on July 8th, 1936 to Erastus and Bessie Albright in Walker County, AL. Helen married Robert Paul Wilder Sr. on December 20th, 1952, and moved to Chicago, IL.

After retiring, the happy couple left the Chicago area and traveled for many years, visiting more than 40 States, including Alaska. When finally deciding to settle down, they bought a house in Taylorville, IL. to display all the antiques they cherished.

They happily enjoyed 55 years together before Robert passed away in 2008.   Helen made many wonderful friends while living alone in Taylorville and she spoke highly of each and every one.  We are certain she left a lasting impression.  Helen recently moved to Bourbonnais, IL. to be closer to family.

She is survived by her Sons-Robert (Sonia) Wilder of Bourbonnais, IL. and James Wilder of Crete, IL; 5 Grandchildren-Kevin Wilder, Heather Kemp, Dominick, Anthony and Cameryn Wilder, and 12 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in passing by her Husband-Robert; Parents-Erastus and Bessie Albright; 6 Siblings-Ervie, James, Joseph, Truman, Henry, and Faye Chamness; One Grandchild-David Taylor.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper, AL. Visitation will be Saturday, April 26th, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. with a memory sharing time from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., immediately going to Oak Hill Cemetery after.
